Design Implications and Space Planning

Workers today are driven by a need for autonomy over where and when they work to achieve the desired peak-performance. Many traditional workspaces where employees are untethered to work dedicated workstations are thankfully becoming outdated. At Select Interiors Ltd we seek to incorporate choice and variety in a environment to accommodate a range of workstyles and mobility.

‘’Designed to support an agile workforce, the Worksmart Space above fosters innovative thinking and easily adapts to new ways of working, as well as a variety of workstyles. Agile work gives people the maximum flexibility they need, while increasing interaction and eliminating barriers to collaboration. By helping people focus on their projects, tasks, and results, agile work can increase employee performance, satisfaction, and engagement’’

Carl P Brown. Managing Director Select Interiors Ltd

Three ongoing objectives drive our design process:

1 To demonstrate the ever-evolving nature of work

2 To create a vision for our customers

3 To support employee effectiveness

We also incorporated what we had learned about workplace trends—as well as our research about engagement with our client’s employees

To accommodate the culture and workstyle needs of the occupants. Then we try to tailor a solution that addresses employees’ needs while creating spaces that hopefully inspire

At Select Interiors judge the success of the buildings and places we design by the way people use and enjoy them – the clients who commission them, the people who inhabit them. Good design is about helping clients meet their needs and objectives. It is also about the way people feel when they experience it, a sense of meaning, connection and belonging

We hope that the above blog will give you the reader a snapshot of what we are up to, what we have recently completed and an idea of our processes and ethos. We are always striving to improve our service through investment in training, technology and of course staff.
