Select Interiors, Synergy Architects and QA Group – how a modest budget can repay the investment

‘’This is creative workplace design completed over a 14 week phased programme at a very competitive price” Martha Loraines, Operations Director sums up her latest office fit-out project for Synergy Architects & QA Ltd

Just out of Leeds City Centre Select Interiors working for premier office fit out architecture practice Synergy have given the regional office of QA a new re-design of reception, breakout spaces, kitchens, washroom facilities, acoustic glazing, renewal of heating / cooling, new industrial boilers, LED lighting, flooring, decoration and graphics. The project was over four phases with each floor handed over and de-canted before the next phase could start

The condensed programme included having to retain and adapt the mechanical cooling / heating -ie the radiators and infrastructure whilst altering and modernising with replacement thermostatic valves and zone controls for A/C. After the Asbestos was stripped out, we removed an inefficient boiler and replaced with 2 number Bosch

The client a rapidly expanding training provider company specialising in providing on site tr. The brief was to create a bright look to the interiors of all the communal spaces. The fit out encompassed 3 floors totalling 4,500 sft. including Reception, breakout, office, café, post room, cloakroom, staircases (x 3) corridors, 3 kitchens and 3 sets of WCs. The refurbishment needed to be cost effective, less than market rates; highly designed (including bespoke acoustic Aluminium & glass screens despite the modest budget); easily maintained (durable easy to clean finishes) and efficient (low maintenance & running costs).

‘’The completed scheme is an example of where workplace design is at in the current economic climate’’ Martha Loraines Interiors
