A creative space for a creative agency
Select Interiors have recently been employed by Spacemen Creative, to fit out a new uber trendy office at The Hive, Lever Street, Manchester, for leading creative agency Rapport.
Spacemen’s designer, Chris Britton, states ‘Spacemen were asked by Rapport to design their new office in the Hive. Our intention was to create a flexible space centered around a creative spine.
The idea is to provide as much variation in the way people work as possible – sitting at a desk, a high table on stools or even in the diner inspired kitchen area. Especially as their team expands’.
The palette includes materials to give a bright and airy feel with colours from the the updated branding, along with a sympathetic nod to the Hive’s look and feel with concrete effect walls with deboss logos and patterns laser cut into ply.
The wrap feature that runs through the middle of the office is unified by Rapports new brand pallet, houses meeting spaces, break out areas and design workshops. A fundamental part of the Rapport business is delivering events for their clients to address their workforce we wanted to reflect this by creating ‘stages’ along the length of the spine.
A secret door which is a signature of Spacemen, which allows access through a bookcase into a snug which can be used for conference calls.
The project has been a collaboration between Space men, The designers, Charter Design, The Project Managers, and Select Interiors, The Fit Out Contractors.
Each has brought something different to the table, and so far the collaboration has been a successful one.
We are two weeks into the project, and Select Interiors, through the fit out process, has begun to bring Spacemen’s designs to life.
The project will be subject to further blogs as it develops so watch this space.
The team at Select Interiors would like to thank the clients above for their valued enquiries and business, and we look forward to working with them over the next few weeks as development progresses.
