Select Interiors have been awarded the design and re-fit of the former Granada TV headquarters on Quay St for the London Based developer of Spinningfields – Allied London Estates Ltd.
Carl was given the opportunity after Chief Executive Michael Ingall had a meeting at the Manchester offices of dynamic property management company Capital Properties, recently designed and fitted out by Select Interiors Ltd. Michael asked who had designed and fitted out their reception, Capital Properties Managing Director Mark Burgess passed on Select Interiors number with a recommendation
At an initial meeting on site at Granada with the visionary Michael Ingall, Carl was given a whirlwind brief; to design and re-fit the reception of the former Granada headquarters. The scheme needed to be edgy, ‘off the wall’ and to be completed within a three week timeframe on a limited budget. Michael the Chief Executive Officer of Allied London Group and chief architect of the £1.5 billion re-development of Spinningfields area awarded Select Interiors the contract after being impressed by Carl’s presentation drawings & ideas
Works now on site consist of demolition, supplying and installing floating raft ceilings in OSB board, partitions, re-use of some lighting & glazed screens. Bespoke joinery, polished concrete flooring and bespoke manifestations
Select Interiors have won a bid to redesign the interior of the provincial headquarters of East Lancashire lodge of the Masons. The Grade II listed building has been home to the lodge for over a century and Select Interiors are proud to have won the commission and to be working with the Masonic Committee, the Directors of both Vision Developments and Lambert Smith Lambton.

Other local projects currently in progress include further works for old friends O’Connell East Architects, a new Bar Concept ‘The Allotment’ and Time Recruitment head office, all in the Northern Quarter. The design and fit out of a Management Suite for Capital Properties, developers and Property Managers of Spinningfields. Another project at Giorgio Armani in Spinningfields with more works pending a delivery of materials from their head office in Milan.
Hot off the press; just completed a batch of Warehouse re-fits for a national supermarket chain in Walton, Huyton, Breck Road, Doncaster, Hazel Grove, Billingham & Dumbarton. Works included Site Management / supervision of the client’s nominated sprinkler & warehouse racking contractors. Select achieved high scores for performance, communication and Health & Safety. A further two projects starting this week include Barrow in Furness and another project at Walton in Liverpool

Some of the projects above will be the subject of further blogs, one of which will have a short film. The majority of the works above are repeat business, which would indicate we are doing something right.
