The warehouse area above was converted to a new sales counter and showroom in 10 days. Within this contract period we installed new toilets and plumbing, new fixtures and fittings, lighting, a kitchen, flooring, decoration and extensive re-wiring and testing. Electrical works included the following; a new sub main with mini circuit breakers, data cabling, external and internal LED lighting, small power distribution and testing of main distribution board. Select Interior’s electricians identified numerous defects on the previous installation although allegedly tested by others. All the defects were rectified within the 10 day times cale
The Branch Manager Ian and his team thanked Select Interiors for their hard work, the quality of the finished project and the speed at which it was carried out. Select Interiors are to be awarded 2 further similar projects, one in Hull and a branch in Preston
Other projects currently on site a conversion of The Old Post Office on Newton Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and a bespoke Boardroom in Chorley.
The Old Post office works are the 2 nd. phase of the conversion which will be a new Design Studio and Offices for Architects O’Connell East. The project includes a cantilevered mezzanine floor and bridge between meeting rooms and general 1st. floor offices. The 2nd phase was delayed due to the existing structure’s floors loading. Structural Engineers surveyed the building using a none intrusive impulse response and radar survey method to identify the extent of steel reinforcement within the existing slab. The design was revised and new drawings issued to incorporate the Engineers calculations.
As the existing structural load is almost at capacity the mezzanine floor will be supported in a network of structural timber partitions rather than the usual steel U beam arrangements. The above images illustrate a week’s progress which included a full ‘set out’ with lazer level. Works include underfloor heating, electrical, data, bespoke joinery, 2 Oak staircases, partitions, ceilings, ceramic tiling, plumbing and glazed balustrades with stainless steel handrails

Select Interiors are proud and flattered to have been invited to tender for the refurbishment of a Grade II listed building in Preston for prestigious international Property and Surveyors Jones Lange Lassalle
Other projects starting or due to start are management services, consultancy and building works on Asda stores for our old friends at C.B.E.S. Ltd part of the the City Refrigeration Group. The company has turned over £7000,000.00 turnover in the last three years which illustrates that even in a recession ‘quality will out’. Select Interiors are proud to have this company and associated parent company as a client for 12 years and we look forward to being of service for at least the next 12 years
The above project in Coatbridge, Scotland was complete kitchen and Cafe refurbishment. The contract period originally 14 days was handed over 3 days early. Works included demolition, complete re-plastering, new ceilings, flooring, servery tops, hygienic cladding throughout the kitchen, ceramic tiling and decoration. Select Interiors prepared drawings and a finishes board which was mounted as a display in the temporary canteen used whilst works were being undertaken. This graphically illustrated what the completed project would look like and we received positive feedback and in a small way made up for the inconvenience of having the builders in. Select Interiors received 100% on sign off documents for adherence to programme, communication and quality of work
