Select Interiors pride ourselves on attention to detail and sympathetic treatment of period, historic and grade II listed buildings. We have a wealth of experience, over 30 years of renovating and refurbishing Churches, listed and period buildings. We go to great lengths to ensure that any renovation / conservation of Grade I and II listed buildings is completed using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and the latest technology. We specialise in sympathetic refurbishments and have worked with in conjunction with Listed Building Control Manchester City Council for over a quarter a century.
Listed and period buildings deteriorate through neglect, failing to maintain and ventilate the building fabric can prove to be costly. Rainwater goods and roofs are usually the cause of damage. The following list highlights most common source of water ingress:
Slipped or missing slates or tiles | Cracked or missing copings and ridge tiles | Dilapidated haunching to chimney pots and pointing to masonry | Missing or degraded lead flashings and flat roofs | Perforated, degraded or blocked lead valleys and box gutters | Blocked rainwater gutters, outlets and hoppers | Hairline cracks in masonry or render | Degraded pointing |Frost shattered masonry | Decaying window frames and cills
At Select Interiors we understand that many of our clients have been entrusted to look after buildings and interiors that are irreplaceable, we understand that trust is paramount. Select Interiors have had what we consider to be the privilege of working for notable organisations such as English Heritage and the National Lottery Fund on several Grade 2 listed building projects including Bridgewater House, St.James House, Arkwright House, Lee House and The Old Parsonage.
