We at Select Interiors often receive briefs from clients – “We want to be like Google” meaning funky offices, playful furniture, ping-pong & table football.
One of the things the Google effect has had is the idea that work is somehow an office as playground. This may be appropriate for Google, but not for the majority of businesses that A. do not have the resources, B. the space and C. the same ethos and staff demographic. If an organisations culture is not like or allied to Google’s then the concept could backfire.

The Select Team received the brief and interpreted in our unique way including our ‘People-Centric’ approach by introducing communal collaborative, quiet and informal meeting areas within the same space. Select Interiors Office Design and Fit out Company also incorporated a speaking / lecture space, all the element were subtly divided by an indoor planting scheme and use of mobile acoustic screens
design and fit out a Coffee Roastery outlet by Select interiors Manchester.
Select Interiors Manchester have won a unique contract at Leeds Dock near the Google Garage to design and fit out a Coffee Roastery outlet. Our in house design team worked closely with the client to create this exciting concept
The company is a Leeds based producer that focus on sourcing and roasting the highest quality coffees, they craft roast the finest beans using all five senses to perfect each batch and extract the full potential of every batch they roast.
The space designed and soon to be fitted out by Select Interiors Ltd will be used to roast on site, customers will be able to come in learn about and see the craft in process, then sit down and enjoy the results.
There will also be a Barista School running courses. If you’re in the business of coffee, whether as a retailer, supplier or as owner of a coffee shop, the training workshops will provide the basics of coffee production. Expertise in working with fresh coffee beans, the use of coffee-making gear and machines, and skill in mixing coffee-based beverages.
